History
The nucleus of the team were formed back in 1998 when we were based at Lion & Railway, the team moved to their new home at Rudheath in 2000 and has achieved an incredible amount of success since, the team are the most decorated team in Northwich pool history, achieving no fewer than 6 league & cup doubles in the 8 years at whilst at Rudheath.
We have in our ranks several players who have represented their county, 2 who have achieved an England Trial and one who is an Ex-International. We also have a junior england trialist in young Adam Wong who is the future of pool, not only in Northwich but Cheshire and beyond.
Fred Backhouse, our vice captain holds the record for the most Singles titles, 8 in the last 17 years, and has been in another 6 finals in that time. We also boast the best doubles pairing in league history, with Kev Barry and Amos Wright going unbeaten in 4 years between 1998 and 2002.
Future Plans
As a team we hope to continue to be competitive but are conscious that as a team our average age is against us, therefore we are always looking for new recuits who can add value to a team with the history of Rudheath.
